onlydudeParticipantSup. Recently I bought an Evolution mk-461 http://www.evolution.co.uk/products/evo_mk461c.htm to use as my controller for reason (bought it new for 250$ a few months ago and wouldnt you know they dropped the price by 100$… lol). The problem I am having is with the velocity curve. My old keyboard that I was using for a MIDI controller processed every key that I pressed, no matter how hard it was pressed, at the same velocity. The new keyboard has 16 different velocity curves that you can chose from. I have tried all of them and I cant get used to them, When I record somgthing in reason I have to go back and edit all the different velocity levels so each key isnt a different volume. I am wondering if anyone knows a way to have every key pressed processed at the same velocity in reason or if anyone had any suggestions for me. I love this keyboard but I cant get used to this damned curve crap. I have to sit here and beat the shit out of the keyboard trying to get a consistent sound ;(.

anisinaParticipantIf the notes are being recorded i.e. You can actually see all the notes you played, but all you need is to make all the notes the same level, then here are two simple things to do inside Reason.
[list=1:1ct17ogi]
1. Open ‘sequencer’ window, then open the track to see the notes. Then, ‘right-click’ and choose ‘select all’ or use the ‘/’ tool to choose a group of notes. Once you have selected them, press and hold the ‘[Shift]’ key (PC keyboard) and place the ‘+’ in the ‘velocity’ channel/track and drag the ‘+’ along the selected velolcity levels.2. Open ‘sequencer’ window, then open the track to see the notes. Then, ‘right-click’ and choose ‘select all’ or use the ‘/’ tool to choose a group of notes. Once you have selected them, goto Edit > Change Events… where a window will open for various features.[/list:o:1ct17ogi]
I hope that answers your question.

Not sure what you equivalent would be for you and your chosen music making packaged but there’s a velocity built-in plugin within Ableton Live for midi which guarantees all of your notes are whatever velovity you tell them to be.
But to be honest, you might also experiment by practicing on your keyboard some more to try and maintain a more steady velocity hand on those keys..
Just some ideas… sorry if I’ve missed the point (not feeling too hot today)
