The Last WordParticipantAll of a sudden, every time I try to load a Cubase SX3 Midi File I get this..
[color color=darkred:12qijrex]A serious problem has occured: Please try to save your song under another name and then restart Cubase SX3. If this problem persists, please contact Steinberg Technical Support with a description of what you do to create this problem, and the created file C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase SX 3\Cubasesx3.LOG
[/color:12qijrex]I’m so screwed. I can literally do NOTHING. I tried unistalling and reinstalling Cubase but I get this message EVERY TIME I load a session.
Everything was working perfectly last night. I worked on a few sessions and went to bed. I booted up this morning (didn’t do anything different) and I get this message. Oh did I mention I get BSOD whenever I try to exit Cubase after getting this message

JuggernautParticipantwooo, sounds like something might be buggered in your registery. you know when you uninstall on PC’s (and mac’s for that matter actually) not EVERYTHING is cleared off your machine?…so clearly the offensive file is still sitting either in your registery or some other system folder. I’m not all clued up on what i’d do, but i’d ask around on a cubase sx forum first. As your copy’s legit you can call support too and ask them for advice. i’d check forums first though if it’s a common thing it would be covered online greatly.

The CutterParticipantI’m not a computer expert but try this…..
If you are running a pc and any version of windows etc. try doing a system restore. If you don’t already know on the bottom desk top bar go to start then all programs then accessories/system tools/system restore.
Once you get to sys. res. the magic little wizzard should guide you. When asked go back a few days before the problem started. Sometimes this has worked for me whenever my computer had some wierd glitch with a program etc. It may work it may not. Becareful as well if you did some cool stuff inbetween your restore date and when you started having problems you may loose those files etc. If you want to learn more about it before you do it go to the microsoft homepage or windows(samething).
In your case I hope this works,
Mr. C.

I remember getting it once a long time ago and it didn’t slow me down. But NOW… That sh*t crashes EVERY F@CKING TIME.
I can create new projects but that does me no good because I can’t load them. I’m (as the subject states) effed in the A….
I don’t know what to do… I’m stuck

Thanks for the advice. I tried this but it didn’t work. It actually screwed Cubase up even more (if that’s possible) to the point where I couldn’t even open the program without getting "Can’t draw UI" errors (or whatever that isht said).
One thing I found out though: I’m able to create new projects and load them so I might just have to make due with that for now.

etiNetaLmaIParticipantTheres a great program that might help you with this problem. dont know for sure if it will fix it, but its worth a try. Tune Up Utilities 2006 (http://www.tune-up.com/) It has a great registry cleaner, thats works at a push of a button. It fixed a problem that I was having similar with Reason 3.0. I couldnt even open up Reason until I cleaned the registry with this program. once I did it, WALA… perfect. try it out. they have a demo. let me know what happens.
