thelettertParticipantmore on where to find audio to use. ive been doing more "mix ups" if you will, rather than mash ups, cuz the vocals and beats are in the same genre, or however you spell it lol. seems easier to find hip hop vocals and beats than other stuff.
is there a dedicated are in these forums for mashups??

[/quote:563kr5gu]I would still class these as Mash Ups as you are taking 2 (or more) songs that didn’t start out together and putting them together as one.
A Mash Up doesn’t not need to be 2 songs from different genres. For more Mash Up info etc check out:
http://www.gybo-v3.co.uk/index.php or
http://www.mashuptown.proboards51.com/index.cgi?As a good starting point have a listen to the Radio Soulwax mixes as well as Pablo Blue’s Big adventure (1&2). These are great examples of "Mash Up mixes" but you can get ideas of things that have been done already as inspiration for your own work.
And don’t forget there are plenty of Mash Ups on this site just look under the Test Pressing sections
Hope this was of use?
