Wuz up i have search the entire site for the answer to my question and i couldnt find it.
I know i need clearence (copyright) thru label artist to use their work
but i was wondering if someone could tell me, if i were trying to get in contact with an artist or label, how i could do that
because i been trying for a while to contact artist and labels.
and its not like they are in the phone book.
but i even tried looking on the internet for contact info.
so if you have any answers please let me know

Google for the relevant Copyright agency/society of the country you require, then search for the artist and Publisher, aswell as the Label. It is a common misconception that Record Labels hold all the power, yet in reality, the Publishing company hold far greater powers.

Many think the only way to get a release is to approach a Label, you should approach the Publisher’s of this world with as much hope and enthusiasm, if not more, because the Publisher has agreed the rights of the work with the artist upon what is suitable for release.

So, forget the Label, and go head first for the Publisher.
