i’m the world’s worst procrastinator Val i havent had much online time lately – oddly enough, this weekend’s been reeaally good & really bad. I’m gonna try 2 stay off the rollercoaster 2nite.

to the others that applied, apoligies but i should have announced the comp was closed when i sent out confirmation PMs. there isnt any reason not to allow u n tho so if u guys want to reply here that can b your confirmation & i’ll add u onto the list. i need 2 know you’re n fo’ sho tho.

the rules r as follows:
This is a remix competition. You may create any type of dance related remix. You must create your remix from scratch – the only thing you are allowed to sample is the original song & the acapella that will be provided shortly. I urge everyone not to use many loops that you’ve downloaded but i’m not going to disallow loops in general. Make the track your own – disqualifications or vote deductions will be used if your track does not follow the guidelines of a remix or you have sampled something out of another track. basically you should create this mix from raw material – dont find a full loop & use that for your entire track. besides that u r free 2 do as u want. questions??

Voting will take place after 2 weeks – that should give everyone enough time to get their remix together. judging will be in two parts – everyone will have a number of votes to give out – contestant’s votes will count as 1 each. Our judges, Acapella(Pilch) & Playmaker will also have a number of votes to give out – their vote’s will count as 5 each. Tracks will be judged according to creativity, sound quality, arrangement/danceability, & (of course) how good it is/likeability.

If everything sounds good i will put up the acapella to be used this evening – i’m still debating which one to use but its either going to b Playmaker’s choice (Lisa Stanfield) or the Cutter’s idea (Jungle Brothers) – i just gotta wait until i get home.

there will b a deadline for entering but i wanted to give latecomers that r serious about entering a chance. i agree w/ u on all of that Rob – my standpoint is just to make the contest (or atleast the 1st round) as comfortable as possible for everyone.
