Have you checked in Device Manager?

If your version on Windows isn’t genuine & you’ve updated the system at all (by using a validation key) then your sound devices will not work.

Have you knocked your PC in anyway that it could possibly disconnect the Sound Card?

You’ll have those system files in your C: drive until you either delete them on rebuild your computer.

Try looking in that folder to reinstall the drivers.

Just plug it back into the same slot, but make sure it ‘snaps in’ perfectly. You will hear the contact grind a tiny amount.

Go to Device Manager (right click My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > Sound, Video, and game controllers) and see if your sound card is in there. It should be ‘make and model’ or ‘model’. Then make sure this is enabled in the ‘right click properties’ and ‘device usage’ and ‘enable this device’ is seen, if not enable it. Then, if it’s not working, ‘rollback’ the driver.
