djfanaticParticipantAlright… another boring day at the office. I decided to do another quick remix in between work. Wasnt too serious about this one, but I think it came out pretty good.

djfanaticParticipantI really appreciate the compliments. Im not sure what resources would help you with your question. As far as this style of breakbeat music… it is pretty common here in Florida.
When I get started on a remix, the one thing I do is listen to the original song. I’m not a real musician by any means… so I’m not able to just start playing notes and chords to an acapella. I try to memic the original notes the best I can. Then I can go and find the right sounds and such. I find the more I play around, the easier the next remix becomes…. When I first started, it was hard as hell to come up with the right notes to play. My first remix I tried was Ian Van Dahl – Will I.

djfanaticParticipantI use Fruity Loops to create the beats and synths. Then piece everything together with Acid.

Mellow MadnessParticipantgreat chopping.. and layering.. of the acapella.. not feelin the elect. snyth.. bass is on point.. i would’ve opted to adding more percussion rolls.. just to vibe off the acapella more.. but good job on the vocoder on the vocal.. ya this is on point.. not my cup of tea.. but still good job.. px.

The CutterParticipantGotta say when the intro started I was not impressed but then once the beat started to pop and the vocal came in I changed my mind. Digging it now, like the beat and the approach you took with the acapella. Do you play out much? I live in Melbourne Beach so it’s nice to meet somebody from my town.
