One day, inexplicably, an octopus walks into a music lounge and makes a bold claim. "I can play beautifully ANY instrument in the world!" he boasts.
An englishman, with a look of disbelief on his face, hands him a guitar. Sure enough, the octopus immediately thrashes out a mindblowing performance of Smoke on the Water.

They all applaud… next a german guy points to a piano in the corner and says "Ja, but can you play Beethoven?"
The octopus squidges over the piano, heaves himself up onto the stool and begins to play Sonata in D minor. When he is finished, there is barely a dry eye in the house.

Finally, a scot approaches with a set of bagpipes and hands them to the octopus. After several minutes of fumbling and thrashing about, not a note has been played. Jeering, the scotsman says "What’s the matter octopus, can ye no play it?"
To which the octopus replies "Play it? As soon as I get her pyjamas off, I’m going to give her the shag of her life!"
