dedtonyParticipantA Face in the Crowd-an old black and white 1950’s movie about a drifter/drunk given absolute media power that nearly reaches the White House…Andy Griffith’s movie debut…and he plays a psycho…which was cool…
Natural Born Killers-every type of photography possible helps to tell the chaotic story of serial killers Mickey and Mallory Knox and their rise to "fame" in media-brainwashed America…There’s SO many truths presented in this film…regarding the media…Saw World Trade Center tonight…GREAT movie…Oliver Stone is an awesome director…I thought his time was over after seeing that crappy U-Turn movie…Thank God talent and the ability to make a come back…
Don’t Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood…one of the funniest movies EVER made, this movie gives us a mocking viewpoint of every one of the good "ghetto" movies (minus Juice…they should have mocked that one while they were at it…)…FAR better than the Scary Movie series…
Friday-If you don’t know the plot, you don’t deserve to be here on a site that’s loosely associated with rap/hip hop…hahaha…Ok, that made no sense…Craig and Smokey deal owe a dope dealer some cash…The original was and is the best…I thought Next Friday was mildly entertaining…Friday After Next was better than "Next," but NOTHING beats the original!
The Star Wars series…These movies border on Shakespherian for simply being some of the most in depth and best told stories of cinema history…
I too like Casino, Goodfellas, and Scarface…Although, these movies have become such poser fodder that it makes me kinda sick…They sell Scarface cigarette lighters at the convenience store now for God sake…They also sell Death Row lighters with Snoop and Dre album cover pics on them…I bought one of those, so I can’t talk too much shit…It’s just all of these mob movies are "go to" movies for wannabes….I like these movies, and I know a lot of you do too, but EVERY time I’ve been around a poser and movies are brought up, they think they HAVE to mention these movies to prove their "cool…" If I even come CLOSE to suspecting this shit, IT’S QUIZ TIME…hahahaha…I’ve busted a number of posers thata way…haha…Good topic…

marionetteParticipantRequiem for a Dream, hands down not only is it an excellent movie but the soundtrack is amazing.
AdSense 336x280August 27, 2006 at 8:21 pm #597127
MelParticipantMarionette…
I’m ashamed to say that I completely forgot about Requiem for a Dream. Not my favorite, but definitely in my top ten. Didn’t know there was a soundtrack for it either. Who’s on it?
Have you seen Run Lola Run? It’s a French movie, but I highly recommend it, especially if you like concept movies like Requiem for a Dream. I actually saw both of these films in a college course.

2GSParticipantHigh Fidelity, just for John Cusack’s monologues and all the Top 5 listing. It made a bunch of changes since the book takes place in the UK and the film is in Chicago, but still what a great mix of record-nerddom and romantic comedy. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0146882/[/url]
