DJThuhtParticipantI wasn’t sure if I should have put this in audio chat or here, so I put it here.
I’ve got a Zune, and I’ve seen those things in cars that act like a USB cable does, so you can receive audio from your ipod (and in some cases control it with a remote control, or the stereo). Does anyone know if that’ll work with the Zune, too? I’ve never owned an ipod, so I can’t say I know if they’re even the same size at the bottom (for the USB cord). I’m not talking about the 3.5mm cord for headphones, you plug it into your car like you plug it into your computer.

JuggernautParticipanti dont think so. the docking bay of an ipod is somewhat different to a zune esp how the software establishes connectivity. zune is windows, yes? i may be wrong but due to different OS’s it may only be for ipods.
i’d e-mail the Zune company or do an extensive Google search for a more comprehensible answer.

DJThuhtParticipantYeah, I searched Google, but couldn’t find anything (maybe I just suck at searching), thanks though.

Dalgo88ParticipantNo sir they sure don’t. I work in the Install Bay at the local Best Buy store and I have answered this question at least about 100 times this month. The Zune is different software and the Plug is smaller anyway.

DJThuhtParticipantyeh.. i’ve decided to go with an aux-in jack….now i’m trying to find a double din head unit thats under 100 bucks >.<
I mean, I don’t care THAT much, I’ve got the FM transmitter, but they kinda suck around here (I even followed the tute on increasing the range, but it didn’t work so well. Now its got a fatty linksys antenna on the side xD)…any suggestions?deviating farther off topic:
I was thinking i might get a single din one, and an XM radio reciever as well, (off of ebay prly), because I’ve been considering getting XM (iuno about sirius…).
1) Would they fit? (2x single din’s in a double din slot?) Or is it one of those weird things where 1+1 != 2 ?
2) if I got an xm reciever, would I have to get a headunit that supports some kind of satellite input? I have no idea how this works, but I’m betting that it can’t be a whole lot harder than putting together a computer, or following directions detailing how to solder an antenna onto an fm transmitter. Thanks alot,
