The CutterParticipantI’ve been wondering if anyone has tried making their own custom vsts or knows anyone who does? When time permits I would like to get into this and would like any advice on how to get started. Below are some links to sites that are a good place to start. Any help would be appreciated.

The CutterParticipant
I use synthedit – but only with the "mods", havent got into making modules yet, maths not being my fav subject n’all.
Have a go with the phase distortion oscillator mod. There’s a lot of synths out there that use it for lead synths but it’s wicked for creating evolving atmospheres an pads.
Also synthedit has a useful tutorial built in. It can take a while but once youve completed it there isnt that much more to know.
Watch out though as its downright addictive.lol[/quote:28oers2m]
Have you come up with any cool instruments or effects? I want to learn how to create vst’s well enough to get into creating TDM plug ins. Some of my computer/audio friends say there is good money in TDM applications creation. I wonder if having computer programming expereince( i.e. C++) would be helpful.

Check Cutter, it’s a thread to the guys who created the WhiteCrow Vsti.

Thanks Acca,
Since you gave these guys permission to post their vst and therefore are able to contact them do you think it would be possible to get their contact info. I would like to find out more on the methods of programming/creating these applications.
Thanks,
Mr. C.

The CutterParticipant
As for cool fx i’ve been working on a triple filter + distortion with lfo, utilizing a moog filter, + 2 sv filters, i’m currently trying to make it mixable from series to parallel. So will have to see how that goes.
Also got a nice pad synth with a joystick modulation to shift between oscillators (phase dist) and filter, evolving atmos not unlike wavestation vector synthesis. ( Sounds more complicated than it is lol, Im mr stoopid[/quote:17apvwc6]
Very cool. How are they coming along? How long have you been messing with creating vst’s? Would like to check them out when you are finished.

As far as this, it is being discussed as we speak. Read this link.
