spear3Participantim in music media production this year (school) and we just started using the equiptment. we were introduced to beat dr., keyboard, 4 track recorder, electronic drumset and my favorite (angelic chorus) the DJx-IIB. i fell in love with it even thought i spent a brief 20 minutes with it i asked my teacher were could i get one and to my demise he said "i think its discontinued" i almost cried. so can someone perhaps tell me
Why it was discontinued?
When it was discontinued?
How can i obtain one these fabulous machines?
Are there others like it?i would do it myself but i dont have the knowledge or resources some of the people here do so i found this site probably the best place to ask

spear3Participanti have considered ebay but im not completely sure about pursuing i would like more information on why it was discontinued and if there is a more recent model of it

anisinaParticipantNo recent model, just been of little use within the current market that has moved on since it was conceived, developed, released, and then discontinued. Just like all of the products out there, they have a shelf life. And, the DJX-2B was just an affordable fashionable product.
It was the same with both the DJX keyboards, Mk 1 and 2, they fitted a market at the time, and they no longer can compete with the VST’s of this world.

read the wiki link.i’ve done music technology at university level (till i changed to interactive technology) and i can assure you with your assignments rather than assuming, reading things like wikipedia (with a certain amount of skepticism) will help you a lot.

although i’d personally argue it’s a Virtual Sexually Transmitted……infection.
but i’m not all there anyway (most sound engineers aren’t)
