It’s time to turn out a big Phat competition we thought!

We sooo need a new banner for the site. That’s it basically! – depending on the overall response to this one, we might even extend the whole ‘graphic’ thing to running another competition in the Autumn for a logo + link buttons or something.

Rules:
1) Your logo should use the existing colours of the site (see code block below)
2) If you are unable to host your design online then we will take entries via email to @acapellas4u.co.uk">logocomp@acapellas4u.co.uk
3) non animated .gif plz.
[color color=red:2gfx9luv]NEW- 4) We will be needing more of a ‘banner design‘ to replace our existing one. Sorry if we confused the issue by using the term ‘logo’ + apologise prefusely for wasting anyone’s precious time. [/color:2gfx9luv]

Closing Date:
September 25th ’05

All entries will be judged by a team chosen by myself.

There will be only 1 x winner with 2 x runner’s up.

1st Prize: – 500 Bonus Acapellas // 2 Runner’s Up: – 250 Bonus Acapellas

Good luck everyone who decides to have a bash and see their artwork forever set in stone on the good ship pella!

ive got another question.. by logo do you mean just the black and white bit on the left or the whole top of the page? and if just the b+w logo, will the current image with the white diagonal lines stay as they are?

I’ll give it a go (though I only got skills in blending shi* together than actually creating a new design). We’ll see what happens though. But I wanted to ask if I can submit more than one image? And because bi0 said GIF’s are accepted I was wondering can the GIF image be an animation? Or just a still image?

Racuda, it’s a nice thing, but try adjusting it. This looks more like a signature than a logo :p

The fixed size and form make its uses very limited.

Hi Silico, I know you’re only having some fun but in those members’ defense that rule wasn’t in there from outset, think I only edited it yesterday.

It’s always a dilemma from an admin’s point of view with a post such as this.. does one tag on his/her reply to answer replies or does one merely edit the original post.. always a bugger.

racuda – feeling yours atm loving the font and overall design so far.

Crin re: sizes. The logo will replace what we currently have at the top of the forum.

Brutha these are krazy! Nice random diversity, yet similar style… hehe. One thing tho, and this goes out to all designers in this comp (dunno why I’m explaining this to the competition… hehe):

All the information (ie: the web address) needs to be on the left with the title, because people view this page at different resolutions, so some of the right side of the graphic will be cut off if their screen resolution isn’t as wide as the graphic. Get me? That’s why the logo that’s in place at the moment is so usable. It will fit to any screen size (ei: if some of it falls off the edge of the screen, it doesn’t make a difference to the information displayed).
