I think its about time we had some input from people that create their very own songs originals (ones that never been made be4)

If any one would like to post plz also tell us wot give u the insperation to make them.

i mentioned this a few weeks back buddy, test pressings is the area to be in and there’s genre specific threads.

quite a good idea to include why for’s though. i don’t think many people see it as important anymore to put why they created a track.

i’ll be chucking stuff in there when i get over my meltdown. and actually get a ‘tracklist’ together. lol

Its not always the same, but heres a few ways how it usually goes……

– Listening to others music, good or bad. Kind of like the way watching or reading about football gives me the urge to play some Madden.

– A person, place, thing, or something really pisses me off. Sometimes music can be an outlet for me.

– Sometimes i hear rhythms, things that arent music, for example a train, or traffic. I then start to put together a beat as well as a riff that go together with it. Kind of hard to explain.

– Ideas. Like new styles or things that havent been done before ( to my knowledge )

– My uncontrollable competitive nature.

I like to noodle about while listening to other music, sometimes you try and capture something that you like in a song and it doesnt end up sounding like the old song. We’ve got this song called Attachment and that started off as me trying to copy the little melody in the back of None Shall Pass

Its funny how things turn out.

Also I only recently got using Ableton (thank you 14 day full trial) and I’ve never been more inspired by any other piece of software. Ableton combined with Reason is just the best thing for writing, ever.

Just thought i’d maybe add to this. Would it be possible to have an "original" area in the test press section to filter out people’s original tracks from remixes?

There are quite a few remixes within these sub genres and it would be nice to go to one area and listen to some original tracks now and then.

My chief source of inspiration for writing is the politics and religion shenanigans. I’m a bit of a rebel (what? NO! Say it isn’t so!!!) and tend to enjoy tongue-in-cheek sarcastic pokes at the folks running those particular circuses.

As for the music, I’m both inspired and motivated by too many composers to list, but the bulk of my music is jazz-oriented rock and blues with splashes of r&b and trance tossed in to keep it interesting.
