We’re on the hunt for a new logo design to go with the new forum re-design that’s currently taking place (should be finished later this year)

Few guidelines for the comp:

1. Design must follow similar dimensions to the exisiting logo (very top of forum) [size size=75:9iaha110]updated[/size:9iaha110]
2. Feel free to use a new colour scheme in your logo. The new forum redesign will then follow these colours throughout.
3. Winner will recieve 50 extra downloads & 2 runner-up prizes, both recieving 20 downloads each.
4. NO LIMIT to the number of times you can enter.
5. Any file format accepted.
6. Filesize must be relatively small to ensure quick loading.
7. Please reply to this post with a working link to your design so we can all view it.
8. Closing date is [color color=red:9iaha110]CLOSED[/color:9iaha110]

Best of luck to you all – we can all comment on the entries that our members submit.

Our current logo is actually a little too long (some of you running on 1024×768) may’ve already noticed that.

We do want it to fit proportionally on the page for all members’ desktops resolutions.

Overlooked the “runners-up” factor – good shout creamy.

Let’s say we’ll have two runners up both recieving 20 pellas each!

Also with regards to the number of times you can enter, absolutely NO LIMIT there ok.

I’ve also edited the rules to reflect these points raised ok!

Absolutely love ideas 7 & 8.. brilliant stuff. Great work.. love the font useage on the very last idea within eight. Could you fit all the words “ACAPELLAS4U” in the background in that large font ?

Can you tell we’re totally “diggin'” everything you’re throwing our way ?

Certainly setting the standard that’s for sure..

Overall, font wise, my fav is the Grafitti style font. Very hip hop – very in keeping with the majority of the pellas that we have in the collection.

As to the overall choice of colours so far – they’re great !

Are you a designer by day or you’re just good with creatin’ logos ?

Good luck for the uni interviews

THis one here got me thinking, mainly due to the colours you used.

The colours are very patriotic for us so I was wondering if anyone could throw some ideas into some designs to incorporate the fact that acapellas4u has members from all corners of the globe.

Also we’d love to see something icons/graphics within the logo perhaps which emphasises digital downloads and some techy type stuff.

looking forward to that.

Oh btw, the musical notes within the logo are most definetly OUT. (bi0, playmaker and myself agreed upon that)

Hello again.

Really like the IDEA 13 – 2nd one.. could you maybe place the site slogan in the area to the immediate right of the acapellas4u wording so it fits inbetween those two angled white lines – would really love to see that.

Take my hat off to you Infinite2k3–damn good logo, friend.

Still, I have a question. How are ya’ll just going to exclude those who actually contributed designs, as well. I contributed 5 designs, myself. I can understand if you didn’t like them–might not have been your flavor. I just thought there was going to be 1 winner, and 2 runner ups, like aforementioned.

I’m not trying to be offensive, or “kick against the prick” or anything. I just don’t think its fair to totally disregard those who actually contributed designs as well.
