This is my first ever remix so please be gentle and tell me what you think.

Some background may be good. I decided to try this mix because of a recent comment on BBC4’s pop history week. A panellist said it was "pure sex" so I had to do it. The remix that is. So, I wanted to see if I could do anything with it, and what you will hear is what I did with it.

Sorry if the quality of the file is strange, but 128 was the only way it would load up.

Nice remix, really has the feel to the original which was a classic but this has a more upto date disco feel to it.

Could maybe give the kick drum a bit more punch, also maybe the clap could do with a bit tweeking, maybe less reverb?

Apart from that, an enjoyable listen;)

Thx for the advice guys and I’m happy you liked it.

I’ll get to work on the rhythm parts, and the clap reverb soon as and upload the revised version.

I’ve never thought of doing Sweet Dreams but I’ll have to hunt down the acapella and give it a go. I’m not that experienced tho as I only started producing a year ago. Lots to learn yet.

Nicole, this is a great remix. Nice upbeat feel and everything works together very well. ‘I feel love’ is a nice choice by the way – classic track.

I’m going to leave the mix for now and move onto something new. Maybe my own tune when I get time.

Levels, instruments and overall sound is excellent.
I actually like the subtle kick, it gives it a kinda hypnotic feel.

The only thing I dont like is the vocal starting at the beginning
as it would make the track slightly more awkward to mix.
(Us DJs will do anything for an easy life!)

Thanx Chunky munky. It was only edited that way so it would fit under the 10 mb limit in 192 kbps. It actually has a 1 minute intro and a 8 bar breakdown before the verse starts on the original.
