icygoldParticipantHey guys
Newbie to the site, which i think is awesome, didn’t think these sort of acapella samples would be available.
Wanting to learn how to make some remixes using my PC, not intending to do any DJing…….yet. Just wondered what would be the best computer software to get to be able to make some good remixes. I’ve seen alot of people mentioning Abelton and FL9 but I wondered if someone could advise me on the best program available for a beginner as I don’t want to get a program that is for more advanced users and not having a clue how to use it.
Cheers

Mr BlondeParticipantHi mate
Try this free program that should get you started. Simple to use and I still use the pro version to make my mash-up’s

djsosofreshParticipantI second using Sony Acid Express. Sony Acid Pro is an amazing program to use for making remixes and mashups. Getting used to this program when I first started making mashups was the best decision I made.

steven-mclParticipantFL Studio in my opinion is a good program to use. So many VSTs you can download for it and it’s got some tailor made VSTs for FL that work quite nicely. It’s what I make all my music with. Then again, it’s good if you’re actually being a DJ and making your own music… Not taking a bunch of songs and squishing them together and then putting them on a CD to play at a club. So many times have I seen someone refer to being a DJ as that. Depresses me… But good luck on finding the right one for you. They all take some getting used to but they’re all pretty good, just should try and use the one you find looks the best to you and hop right in.
