Is it possible to get a song theres no acapella for.. but layer your own beats over the song to make it a remix?
Im thinking of maybe acoustic songs or something as rap might be harder to do this with.. but someone told me about this before, has anyone ever sucessfully done this..?

So, the answer would be a resounding… ‘Yes’
JXL, aka Junkie XL, did exactly what you are asking, with Elvis’ ‘A Little Less Conversation’. He says he did not use an acapella, he used the original recording including all the instruments. The original was all they had, because it was from a film.
As a lot is not disclosed of what many artists find out through experiment, he know doubt created more room for the top & bottom without taking much, if any, away from the vocal. But he definately did enough to mask the original as best he could, and it was a success.
