This is my remix of Ashlee Simpson’s new song Outta My Head. I love the song but I made the remix alot darker than the origional.
Also, I’m still pretty new to this, so lemme know what you guys think…feedback or comment would be great. thnx

Good beat. Too dark to my taste though Did you use Acid or Sound Forge for the echoes? Sound pretty neat!

the filter you have on the vocal makes the remix unlistenable. not sure as to why you would do this for a ‘vocal remix’ .. it would be fine for a dub mix where the vocal is sparse. however this just doesn’t work for me on a vocal mix. I also think a little change up would make the remix pop more, it seems to drag on and on with nothing really being built up, taken down, changed, etc … you have to keep the listeners interest and make them anticipate what is to come next in your remix.

First thing I thought when the tune started was…. reverb ! need to dry that up a bit m8. I liked the progressive idea though but yeah I would have to agree more change is definetly needed here but definently stick at it we can only progress.

I like the vocal stutters you used. I agree on the overdone vocal effect though. The synths you chose were really balanced so they complemented each other well in the mix. Also, it’s already been said but a little more variation would hit the spot.
