Hmmmmm…….haven’t heard it….
It may not be the Chemical Brothers. Thats a widely used sample.
I think it might be a mix of “Afrika 2” by Dave London & Filthy Rich.
I can’t remember the name of who made the original though……
…..Housefly88 – u know?
Yeah, I forgot who did the orig too. But a double record was put out a couple of years ago by an Orlando label named Funk Wax. A few different artist and mixes were on it. My favorite remix was by Dj Infiniti.
that is one random ad, actually it reminds me of a MTV clip I got thats absolutely hillarious…might post it up if i got any upload space left
This may be 10 years late, but I just found this site, so…… here it goes.
The vocal sample of "It began in Africa" comes from Jim Ingram – Drumbeat [Drumbeat, 1974]
The Chemical Brothers used this sample on "It Began in Afrika" [Come With Us, 2001]
Monsoon also used the sample on their track, "Africa". Florida label, Funk Wax, put out two 12" vinyl releases with various mixes of the track, including: Original Breakbeat Mix, Original Trance Mix, Infiniti’s Black Jesus Remix, Infiniti’s Sungod Remix, Dave London & Filthy Rich Remix
