funkybeatsParticipantThey owe me £450 in charges and got a letter last week telling me it would take up to 4 weeks to look in to my complaint. Pah! I sent them a second letter saying that if they don’t give me back my money they stole from me then I am taking them to court…. time is up today so if I have not received a possitive reply by tomorrow I’m going down to the county court to start proceedings.
Anyone had any luck with getting their charges back? The bank I am claiming from is Lloyds.

SeanzaParticipantMy step-dad is currently in the process of gettin £6000 of charges back from Bank of Scotland!
Apparently bank charged have always been illegal but because of some way a direct debit is set up, it changes that law, even though it shouldn’t!

anisinaParticipantBank’s are struggling to cope with the demand and the amount of claims they receive every day. They’re also in fear of a massive government enquiry where they will be found out as ‘the robbing bar stewards’ they are. At least £20 for an automated letter.
Though, I don’t go into debt, but it’s about time people stood up to these banks that make Billions of pounds from the misjudgement of their so-called customers. And has for, a bank that likes to say errrrrrm YES, even when they know the person they’re issuing a loan too is in Terminal Health, and adds the name of their partner to make sure they can reclaim the costs, all because of commission driven sales.
Here is a chap that has guides on what to do.

whitewolf_40909Participantcause im a student i don’t get any charges on my account, but doesn’t one think it strange that banks can make billions in profit each financial year, screw over their customers over and over again.grrr

funkybeatsParticipantI am now filling out my claim via the HMCS Money Claim website after no reply to my last letter to the bank…. but guess what dropped on my doormat to day? A nice letter telling me they want all of my overdraft paid back in full within the next week….. that ain’t gonna happen
@vice verses: Banks never turn up to court, their always settled outside. It’s only through the small claims court as well.
