JDMDCParticipantHello Acapellas4U community.
I posted this in the wrong forum (put it in House). Please forgive me. I’m terrible at classifying music genres! To me the bass of my tune was house inspired so hopefully you can understand my mistake.
I was wondering if I could take just over 4 mins of your time to have a listen to a remix I’ve done.
What do you think of it?Thank you for listening.

mARKYbOYParticipantHi JD
I’m quite liking this! Sounded a bit bassy but it gives it some serious pump

JDMDCParticipantThank you for your comments, mARKYbOY. I’m glad you like it.
The bass is meant to be like that. It’s what started the mix. Once I came up with it – that was it! I built some drum sounds around it, added one drum loop which runs through a low-pass filter, added some pads and voilà! The vocals were tricky to do but I think it was worth it!
What do other people think about the mix?

djmaxentropyParticipantIts not too bad at all. Likin’ the vibe here.
I can understand why you put it in House.. especially when remixing or mashing (a) track(s) its difficult to figure out which genre to place it in since what you’ve created is usually something totally different.
This is growing on me the more I listen to it. Good work mate. Just wishin now the breakdown was a tad longer with some more differentiation of synths etc.
Lookin forward to more.

JDMDCParticipantThanks for your comments djmaxentropy.
I’m happy that you’re enjoying the mix.The mix turned into a little bit of a project for me.
When I started it, I was going to go for the normal duration of a club tune, 6-8 minutes.
Then I decided to do a radio mix. These have to be shorter. It was tough.Trying to get everything in there that I wanted and ensuring the arrangement made sense.
I took loads of stuff out. Editing is hard and cruel! Removing some of my favourite pieces of music that just become your babies of the tune is a difficult thing to do.At the end of the day, it had to be short and I hope I have a cohesive arrangement.
What do other people think about the mix?
