i just call it how i see it and this site is by far the best acapella resource anywhere. it is the best tool for re’mixing and creating new ways to play songs that have passed their prime. once again props to acapellas4u as i know everyone who spends time here feels the same.

Our bandwidth is getting close to being maxxed out every month now – we really need to do something about it. With the 3000+ strong members we have now downloads (leeching) 😉 is at a record high for us.

Let’s hope we don’t get any complaints from the guys who own the servers.

You need to find a way of encouraging more people to pay for the service so you can afford more bandwidth. IMO 5 acapellas is actually plenty, if you know which one you are looking for, you download it and then you dont need another one for a little while coz you are working on the track that uses it.

It’s useful to have more credits per month so you can ‘browse’ the acapellas to find a good one but I dont think this is enough incentive to get most people to cough up. I’m not sure what form this would take but if I have any ideas for things that only paying members would receieve whilst still providing a good service for non paying members I’ll let you know.

Its strange how people drag up these old posts from the past (this topic had been dormant since August 2004)! Usually its a result of users posting random crap to get up to the magic 50… but Starsky0121, who revived this topic, has only made 1 post. Very odd!? Could this be a genuine show of appreciation??

It’s possible, in fact, I think it’s a genuine show of luv for the site. A rather nice little vacation from the few who bitch and moan about us not giving them everything and paying them to take it.

As for ideas to acquire more donations … I dunno … I donate ‘cuz I appreciate the site and nothing you could offer as an incentive would make me want to donate more that I can think of … unless you have a talented masseuse on staff that you could send over on Tuesday afternoons.
