A recently got Acid Pro 6.0.
A waz extremely exsyted about uzing it. So there a waz, installing ma new software, updating my Media Library, etc etc…
A then tryd to open a project I made on Acid Pro 5.0 which waz unfinisht (Tony Yayo ft. 50 Cent – I Know You Don’t Love Me (Remix) – Snippet iz in Hip-Hop forum).
Acid Pro 6.0 stopped loading the mix after 2%. A waited & waited….19minz & 43seconds: still 2%.

Haz any1 else experienced anything lyke this with any version of Acid Pro?

If so…did you manage to get round it? How did you get round it if u did?

I stick to good ol’ 4.0 – I think as Sony took over it they really messed things up ! In my opinion !

It’s probably a bad VST plugin. Try renaming C:\Program Files\VSTplugins to something else, and try opening it again.

Yes, ACID pro 6.0 is a lot stricter with VST plugins. Even if it worked in 5.0 it may not work in 6.0 if it wasn’t built according to specific specs. The 6.0a update fixes this issue to an extent, so try downloading and installing this first.

thatz exactly wt av got, it stil duz it.
this happened when a had acid 4 (the version just afta sony took over) but that waz with acid 4 projects, it only happened when i removed it then re-installed it again.
the most annoying thing iz am workin on a mixtape & about 12 or 13 trackz were unfinished.
Duz this mean a cant finish um?

If you have ACID pro 6.0 just call in for support. our number is (800)577-6642 in the US. We deal with issues like this all the time, so we’ll probably be able to work it out for you with some minor troubleshooting.

I’d be happy to help you in this thread, but it can sometimes take a while longer via email(or BBS). If you want, just tell me exactly what steps you’re taking before getting your errors, and then post the exact error text if an error is given. I have an official trial, does that count as pirated?
The stepz I take are::

1. Open Acid Pro 6.0
2. Open a ‘Saved’ document
3. Then I’m waiting for about 13 – 15 minutes for the Saved document to get passed 2% loaded, but it doesn’t go past.

Yes, we do offer free support on the trial versions as long as they are registered with us. Feel free to call on that issue. The steps which we would probably recommend are:

Uninstall ACID Pro 6.0
Uninstall Sony Media Manager 2.1
Uninstall Microsoft SQL Desktop Engine
Delete C:\Program Files\Sony Setup
Delete C:\Program Files\Sony\ACID Pro 6.0
Delete C:\Program Files\Sony\Shared Plug-Ins
Reinstall from only the update, at http://download.sonymediasoftware.com/c … pro60a.exe

See if this works, if not, let me know.

am not advanced enough to use midi & multi track recording.

just 1 more question about v6.0 tho….

how do a change a track from Beatmapped to one-shot?
doezn’t seem to b dun the same way az previous versionz.

Go to Track Properties, and in the Clip Pool tab, double click the file you want to adjust and it will open the old-school Track Properties window for that audio file. This is because you can now put more than just one audio file on a single track.
