daskipParticipantYo people.. i’ve been workin on ableton rewired w reason and i get many clicks on my mixer channels while playin my project…it suddenly generates clipping and my ears dont stand that…i have in my drivers the asio4all that comes with fruity,the one that comes with cubase 3.??? and i still get those problems… but there’s another problem too…while loopin my proyect Ableton & reason ,the beat suddenlly clips horrible too…jus wondering why… i wanna fix it ….. i’ll apreciate any help….

ravenParticipantsounds like latency issue. If you don’t have an asio driver that comes with your soundcard, try the asio4all driver, it provides the lowest latancy. I don’t know the asio4all and if it’s possible to change the latency. If so try to choose a higher value(12ms or more).
You shouldn’t have such problems with a professional soundcard with a special asio driver, 1.8GHz single core CPU (ca. 6 ms).
Sometimes the harddrive is extremly fragmented,specially the used samples.

JuggernautParticipantif you’re re-wiring a re:drum drum loop through ableton make sure you’ve disabled it (the re:drum rack in reason) before playback as this will cause distortion, which comes out as clipping/clicking and general disruption of sound.

PS. Check your Buffer size. The biggest cause of ‘clipping’ with ASIO.
