Vin-SuParticipantHip-Hop has always been about innovation, doing things with music that people have not seen or heard before.
I check out the forum about once a week, and without fail there are at least 10000000000 new 2pac remixes. Which is cool, but i mean how many times can 2 pac’s tracks been remixed?

ChooParticipantIt can be remixed as many times, it’s all about combination, of each acapella with another acapella, acapella with beat, etc. Plus there is so many Pac acapellas out there that are remixable, around 200. I doubt any other artist has that many acapellas to use. It’s all about being resourceful and using the resources given.
From a mainly Tupac mixer, I dropped 30 Pac mixes in a day and that will allow me to post a mix a day without worries. Lol.

I couldn’t have agreed more, I don’t even pay attention to all the Pac remixes now there are just too many to keep up with.[/quote:24da2pid]
Perhaps a Pac sub-forum within the Hip-hop room would be good?

Pac was labeled and still is labeled the Best Rapper from the West Coast if not the whole world! I grew up listenin to pac my whole life. I guess people just like the fact that they can use many acapellas from the greatest rapper of all time, and use them in their own mixes. Something to show off to ya friends, you know!My opinion. Pac will never get played out. I can understand if people use the SAME beats for mixes, that fo damn sho will get played out ASAP. Some people just have skillz, and what better way to show them off than to use a great rapper like PAC?
again my opinion.AdSense 336x280July 31, 2006 at 7:37 am #595216

haha if you wanna get into the politics of it, Biggie played 2Pac and doesn’t deserve anyone’s respect on any level other than talent in rapping. But even giving him that, he would have been nothing without 2Pac and he backstabbed him as a thank you. haha it’s not every day someone talks shit on Biggie, but if I voiced my opinion on it every day, it would

I agree with what someone before me said, that 2Pac remixes won’t ever stop. As new styles of hip-hop emerge, he’ll be mixed right in, and it really goes to show how versatile his style was – find a high quality acapella and any beat from the last 20 years that syncs up right and odds are it’ll sound good. You can’t say that about most rappers.

C’mon Peeps their just rappers/ ordinary people dont get into who is who and who is better. There’s no point in arguing. they were both rappers making their money, doing what they do. I’ve got respect for both em, Not for what they do, but for who they are. 2Pac is great and so was Biggie, and if you start to name off others, then So is DMX/NAS/Jay-Z/ every rapper is great in their own way. And most of us have seperate opinions about each and every one of those. Opinions are the only things that matter. Dont get caught up in what the next guy is saying.
MY OPINION

dedtonyParticipantI agree that it does get kinda tiring hearing so many 2Pac remixes…HOWEVER, there’s always a one in 200 or so chance of hearing a Pac remix that is just so on point that it’s worth listening to the volumes and volumes of remixes…Also, I wish there were more acapellas out there to choose from…I’ll bet that, if there were acapellas of TRUE classics, we’d never hear remixes of a lot of these easy to find acapella tracks by Pac or anyone else…
On Pac and Biggie:
Back in the 90s, me and my friends listened mostly to The Geto Boys, Willie D, Bushwick Bill, Scarface, Big Mike, NWA, Ice Cube, Eazy-E, MC Ren, Too $hort, 2 Live Crew, Cypress Hill, House of Pain, and Lighter Shade of Brown and Wu tang Clan. Tupac, to me, was kinda boring…He seemed too much like an actor that just happened to rap on the side…In fact, the day he got killed, I made jokes about it…Biggie’s death, for some reason, impacted me more…because I felt like he was just a good dude that got mixed up in some shit that was beyond his capability to understand or handle…Pac talked too much shit, acted too crazy, and rapped about "death around the corner" cuz he knew he was bringing hell on his life…Years after Pac’s demise though, I have gone back and re-listened to his music, watched all the documentaries, and learned to respect 2Pac…He was probably the realest brother ever given studio time…He was the real deal…actor first/rapper next aspects aside…either that or he was the greatest actor of our lifetimes…Pac was so real, that no one since Pac has the nerve to be that real again…and media companies have yet to hire another dude as real as Pac…Biggie on the other hand seemed like a black variant of Eminem, a great lyrical ability…but not truly "street" enough to back the shit he used to talk…I was never and still am not that much of a fan of Bad Boy’s music roster…"Juicy" by Biggie was a classic though…one of my favorite rap tracks of all time, but most of B.I.G.’s music is rather boring and sub-standard…thanks in part to Puff Daddy’s editing I’m assuming…In interviews, I heard Sean Combs discussing editing some of Biggie’s content…UNEDITED, Biggie might very well have been the greatest rapper of all time…In short, I respect both Pac and Biggie and miss how the rap was before the two of them got killed…and when the HELL are they going to solve these damn murder cases? If it were the Dave Matthews Band and Creed that got mowed down in a hail of bullets, I’ll bet the next day they’d have had hundreds of suspects at least being questioned!

DJ Sho-TymeParticipantwant my opinion…i believe most of the mixes posted do include tupac or biggie pellas and that is probably the only way to get noticed on the forum. you post up the modern day artists and you may get three views and one reply to your post and thats it, even tho you may believe it deserves more (except for those users who are known to each other in their own little tight knit groups) people only post up tupac because there is so much tupac pellas around, yes i agree with that, but i think most people are just tryin to get recognised as serious mixers, and that this is the only way they will be recognised. how many people out there, seriously and honestly, have posted up non-tupac/biggie mixes and think you have deserved more replies than its getting, and how many have you have then posted up a pac or biggie mix to find out that now people are interested. in all fairness……where is the fairness gone
