Thanks for sharing. Mix is nice, like the samples, only thing i think would make it better would be to change the backing track about a bit.
Yeah, that’s exactly what made this one so hard to make: the "Ladies Night RMX" is so overproduced that there’s virtually no chunks to cut and paste a music bed from. I actually had to use the Audacity (yes, I made this on Audacity!) to make/fake a karaoke version in some parts just to get some mentals, EQ’d everything but the bass out to fatten it back up again, and even used it to get Shania’s acapellas as well. If there had been more ‘mental sections (or if I had more time to re-create them), this would’ve been a cleaner mix.
By the way, the key only changes at the end when it goes into Junior Vasquez’s Lauper remix, and then actually does so harmonically.
Ah well, all the best sections will be used in the scant 45 second version along with som accents FX! But at least you can hear what I heard with Shania fitting so well that I had to try to make this a full-lengthed version.
