First and foremost… I will stress that this is *NOT* an official Acapellas4u contest, nor is it affiliated with any of the Acapellas4u staff. This is done entirely in this forum for entertainment purposes only. No prizes will be awarded, this is simply for bragging rights… and POSSIBLY to have your mix featured on the Acapellas4u MySpace page.

Round 2 will be kind of special for me. I am going to provide the acapella, a custom original track by myself, JoJo and K-Blitz recorded in my home studio simply titled…

01. The acapella of choice will be the following – It is a rap/hiphop acapella with a supreme female singing a catchy hook on the chorus:

02. Please limit any other acapellas used in your production. Drops and quick samples are permitted, but whole verses or sections will not be allowed. This ensures the focus remain on the original acapella.

03. The acapella will be sent via PM to each of the participants. This ensures everyone gets the required track, and that it isn’t available to the general public.

04. Your song must be between 3 and 6 minutes in length. Please don’t make it any shorter or longer than this. (An extra minute added for those that like a buffer)

05. Mixes are to be published in downloadable MP3 format at a minimum bitrate of 192 kbps, up to the recommended 320 kbps.

06. Once you have uploaded your track, we ask that you provide some insight as to how it was created, perhaps a peek into the tools you used and your creative process.

[color color=green:6695ed1y]07. You will have until September 30th to produce your track. Any entries submitted after the end date will be disqualified. All tracks must be submitted before September 30th, 2009 23:59 GMT.[/color:6695ed1y]

08. Each member WILL NOT post their mix in this thread or any others. When you are done your mix, PM me (gmoney) with a link to your track. It will be re-hosted for direct download by the public on the forums after the contest closes and ALL entries have been collected.

09. Any genre, any sub-genre, ANYTHING goes. A+B, full-fledged remix, custom beats, sampled beats…. whateva’ you gots!

Myself, JoJo (featured singer in the acapella) and DJ Sting will be waiting until after every single entry is received, then holding and recording a live discussion with all of our initial reactions to the tracks that are submitted. Shortly after, we’ll vote, determine a winner and post up the live recording for all to download and enjoy.

JUDGES SCORECARDS will be completed for each mix as follows:

Creativity, Originality, Style 1-30 points
Production Quality 1-20 points
Mass appeal 1-20 points

Wow guys, all this interest in under a day… that’s just awesome! Hope my provided acapella doesn’t let you down. This is shaping up to be pretty serious, I know at least a few of you put out super solid music.
