MelParticipantA little late for voting but…..
I did jack shit. I’m mean, hell, Easter is like a generic Christmas that US merchants created just to take a little more of our money
Besides, it never really caught on with the majority of my family. Except for my great grandmother whose had the same carton of eggs since ’85.

acapellaKeymasterDefinitions of Absinthe on the Web:
[quote quote="The Web":2m1voi63]A highly toxic liqueur, 140 to 160 proof, illegal in most countries, flavored with wormwood and other herbs. Effects include those customary with alcohol, plus a disorienting, floating, dream-like quality from the combination of wormwood and herbs. Le Musée de l’Absinthe –> About Absinthe
http://www.sff.net/people/gunn/dd/a.htmIt is an anise-flavored liqueur distilled with oil of wormwood, a leafy herb, and also containing flavorful herbs like hyssop, lemon balm, and angelica. It was traditionally served with water and a cube of sugar; the sugar cube was placed on an “absinthe spoon” and the liquor was drizzled over the sugar into the glass of water. The sugar helped take the bitter edge from the absinthe, and when poured into the water the liquor turned milky white. History – Around the turn of the century, after observing a subset of alcoholism referred to as “absinthism” and noting that heavy absinthe users had a propensity toward madness and suicide, by the second decade of this century it became banned in the Western world, along with opiates, cocaine, and cannabis. In New Orleans, as well as in the rest of the United States, it became banned in 1912. Absinthe is still available in other areas of the world where it is not illegal.
emenus.ca/Victoria_and_Vancouver_Island/dictionary/A.htmThis toxic, bitter, green or yellow drink flavoured with wormwood was banned at the start of the 20th century and was changed to a more mild form called Pastis.
drinks.glowport.com/dica.htmlA cordial with anise seed (licorice) flavor; contains wormwood (which is banned by the United States government). Abisante, abson, anisette, herbaaint, mistra, ojen, oxygene, and pernod are all substitutes.
urban.gmxhome.de/glossary.htmA bitter, green liqueur.
