acapellaKeymasterUploading’s been offline for too long, we know that.. I’ve consulted with my Sysadmin and we agreed it was too much to do just before I go away on holiday for a week.
New uploading rules will apply so be sure to read them before you upload a single kilobyte. Don’t worry, it’s nothing too drastic, just some changes with regards acapella tracks with more than one artist, some small filename changes is all.
artist_ft._artist_-_tracktitle_(acapella).mp3 now becomes
artist_-_tracktitle_ft.artist_(acapella)We’ve moved the featured artist to the right of the track title. This change was necessary so that the Amazon script we’re using on the new site will stand a higher chance of showing the track’s thumbnail art.. small change but a whole load of backroom work required. In fact, this is a good time to thank my sysadmin, Phil, for all the hard work he’s put into recently into really sorting out the acapella collection. Hopefully it will mean a much, much more organised and de-duped database for us all.
Click to enter the uploads. Please don’t’ forget to absorb all of the new SPECIFIC details about file naming and our rules in general!!. Looking forward to furnishing the site with new content and rewarding ye’all with some bonus download creditos..
Thanks,
acapella

ryackyParticipantAre the changes to the track info the only changes or are there more? If there are more can you give us a link to see all the new rules?
Thanks

DJ LevantParticipantryacky, Yes that looks like the only change at the moment.
A quick reminder that all upload rules can be found on the [b:zui7vptk][/b:zui7vptk] which is kept up to date and has everything you need to know regarding upload rules.AdSense 336x280March 17, 2009 at 6:24 pm #665560

"We should hopefully have the upload facility back on site soon, apologies for the extended downtime period – New upload rules WILL apply.
Click here to go back."when can I upload my acapella’s?

I forgot the general public could not access the upload rules whilst uploading was down.
When uploads are back up though the rules will be fully accessable.

acapellaKeymasterJust got my main man Phil looking at fixing the ugly [unlink] PHP message that’s showing after uploading a file successfully too.

acapellaKeymasterOk, so not even a whole day in and obvious that some members can’t read. Please read the newly revised upload rules as any files uploading showing a blatant disregard for our strict naming conventions will simply be removed and you risk losing your ability to upload to us. We may even be forced to remove you from the site if you’ve really p*ssed us off.

S.i.r.ParticipantI tried to upload a new acapella that isn’t available yet, but I always got the error message that the file already exists … what’s wrong with that?
