tracks that have been acapella’d diy style?

Hi, I’m new to this site and i must say i’m impressed.
I’ve been trying out the vocal extraction methods from this forum but I seem to fighting a losing battle.
I’m mostly trying to take rock/ indie songs and make an acapella, do you think that this is more difficult than doing it to say…. a house track?

Anyway…….
I really wanna learn to do this and was thinking, it would be helpful for me and the other forum users if people who successfully DIY’d an acapella post in here the tracks that they used and the methods used.
Any track, any genre, I just want to practice on a track that I know will work!!
