This is soo goin on my next cruisin cd, good work!AdSense 336x280not my kinda music but its groovy and very slick production-wise
i wouldnt say its mastered badly but if it were mastered a bit better it would make it a lot more effective and playoutable. i’d try making the kick and snare a bit snappier if poss, with a some compression on the mix carefully pumpin it without losing definition. maybe try a sidechain from the kick to the synth.
this is all pickyness and down to taste! its very good. u should be making some $$ from your productions

Never really been very good at the mastering side myself but Pilch (alcapella) is more than capable when he set’s his mind to it !!

Cj – I’m a cans man only purely cus of living in apartments (could never have the volume I’m used to with monitors.
My process for mastering (laughs) = runnin’ the 24bit .wav through MultibandComp in Wavelab. By no means do I really know what I’m doing really but if anyone WOULD like to offer to have me send all the parts and MASTER it for me please be my guest.

AdSense 336x280Hey some replies – about bloody time to my bad…..i’ve seen it up for a couple of days n’ just got a chance to check it….Well, I’ve never been a fan of long buildups but I think it’s well worth it in this case to set the groove of the track – those main parts are kickass. I cant really listen to house unless its groovy like this.
its hard to put my finger on where the lessened sound quality stems from without knowing how you made the track. Sounded dry in the spots where there wasnt a bassline but I bet you can make it sound fine when you’re mixing on set.

One of the more successfull choons that Ed & myself have written over the last yeasr for sure – well, one that’s definetly picking up some good hype all round.. it’s been picked up by Kid Massive’s{Slip ‘n’ Slide}/Nermous other remixes aswell – [www.kidmassive.com] own label “Soundslike”.

Make It Better – working name (M.I.B) managed 2 get an airring @ MIDEM recently and it’s also gonna feature at the Miami WMC (winks 350Hz)

AdSense 336x280Gotta say mate its the most well rounded and produced tune on this forum yet and a great inspiration to all us budding producers…….Thankyou very much – I was pretty touched by those choice words – means a lot ( to Ed aswell )
Samples are good and the arrangements work well together, but as mentioned before the mastering cud do with a ‘extra touch up’ but all in all EXCELLENT work!!all agreed, we will always aim to put out the best overall mix that we can and hopefully that will be enuff to be able to let the pro’s polish it up to a more highend finished article..
Is there any tips you lot can offer us for realistic funky house sounds because your tune sounds ‘like a propper made commercial house tune’Not usre if this one goes out to me or everyone but I’ll just say that this track, and I think Ed will agree, did the most to-ing and fro-ing between us both. Ed’s my old best mate and we were both interested in Dance Music roughly around the same time, perhaps me a little earlier on my old OctaMed v3 on my Amiga 500.
Tips, well to be honest, a lot of people still worry WHICH software they should be using.. we’ve all probably done that and some of us still do it more (perhaps they feel they’re missingout on something) cus sometimes to write good quality house music it’s not as easy as often is assumed.
PlayMaker is a fantastic friend – just google his ass to get a feel for his work (he also mods this section so there’s some encouragement in itself surely ????/
