Don’t discount the Malstrom, NN-XT or the NN19 for basses, but these two links should provide you with some tips and answers for SubTractor.
Also try where there is a wealth of advice in creating sounds, using software, and creating compositions for different genres.
Nice one for that mate, much appreciated.
Cheers for the tutorials, much appreciated.
Yeah as stated it really depends on the sound your going for but I find that adding a scream unit often helps a lot. Gives the sound more warmth and character. For me it usually ends up with tape or sometimes tube.
Never underestimate the power combining multiple synths as well.
Im looking at trying to get a warpy type of bass, used in alot of bassline house and 4/4 productions. But im really struggling to create it using the subtractor, fiddled around with it for days. Any 1 got any help on how i can do this?
just my 2p…if you want a warm simple straight to the point sinewave bass sound, might i suggest you look at the malstrom interface?..I personally use the subtractor for the warm round bass sounds and add malstrom over it with some bad ass sawtooth/squarewave warping bass going through Scream4. never tried it the other way round
Cheers for that Dan, gonna give that a go.
