i agree. if i’m not mistaken you can use vst effects in it too
i personally like using Sony Vegas….it works awesome for me, and if you use soundforge, then they work together really well
I use soundforge, it works perfect
If your just looking to record a set, a good sound card and a free wav program should be enough. Now, if you are looking to edit your work once your done, try Steinberg’s Wave Lab or any of the high editing software…

yeah, its great i use it all the time to record anything, you can export the recording to many different formats and theres a bunch of free plugins available.
definitely reccomended!
sony sounforge is very good for recordings,tracking your set,and everything about batch sampling
Or you can use Cool Edit.
