I like to make quick mix CDs for my friends on ACID – one of the problems i’ve run into is the sh*ty sound quality when I render the individual tracks to WAV format. (I’m using ACID pro 3.0 – havent upgraded yet )
What is a good (and FREE!) compressor and/or Equalizer program to use to solve this problem?
I’ve used FL in the past but the tracks have millisecond gaps in between them when i do this – leaving a small annoying scratch sound. Suggestions not involving spending $ please!

after hundreds of mixes and mashups & listening to them on multiple different sound systems – I’ve noticed a lesser sound quality than stuff i’ve done on tables or joggers – i know you cant get that same sound with software but i wanted the opinion of some of the experts here on what is a good compressor program to use. hopefully something in my price range cause i only work a part-time job and go to school full time. Need suggestions other than obvious stuff please!!!!!!
