brapkoParticipantDISCLAIMER: THIS WILL SHOW LINE-UPS AND SUPRISES. IF YOU DONT WANNA SEE.. DON’T LOOK.
You’ve been warned.
The beginning of the show was opened by some locals. Was pretty gay. The 1st real act was Jedi Mind Tricks. They were pretty good for being the 1st time that ive heard them. They rocked the mic better than i thought and got the crowd pumped up.
Supernatural was the host. Ive seen this dude on video before and he was even better in real life. This dude can freestyle FOREVER, and when i say forever… he holds the record for longest freestyle at OVER 9 HOURS STRAIGHT.
Freaking insane. After Jedi Mind, Immortal Technique came out. This dude is as crazy live as he is on his albums. He gave some speeches about latinos marrying whiteys to "Better the race". His response was "Yall mutha f***as wanna better your race? Go get a f***in job.. Go get educated. That has you better your mother f***in race."
It was hardcore. After them were some locals called "The Black Violin". lol… its was pretty cool. Supernatural was freestyling to a violin.
The next act was Pharoah Monch. He was pretty good. I saw him as a "wanna-be Roots", but he had some nice flow. Especially on the song "Simon Says", the whole crowd blew up when that came on.
After them was Talib Kweili. That dude can work a crowd. For real. He did a nice freestyle to Party Like A Rock Star. Dude’s got skill. Mos Def then preceded to jump on for 3 songs until Common came running out. The dude can rock a mic for real. Had everyone going crazy when he performed "People". Dude was jumping round and spinning. lol.
Next was Nas. What more can i say.(Wait.. no… that’s Jay-Z…lol)
He was crazy. Enough said.Wu-Tang finished up. My bro and i left after "Wu-Tang Clan Aint Nothing To f** Wit" (their first song)… The sound system was so loud that you couldn’t hear their spit. But it was good cuz we were tired. The whole day lasted 10 hrs.
I was pissed though cuz UGK was supposed to perform… no show. (along with David Banner)Oh well… was well worth my 60$.
Peace.
