Reason 4

I’m on Record & Reason4 now.

Since all of Reasons devices are available within Record, as well as Record having 2 more effects, a new instrument (its not overly unique or good tbh) and a mix engine modelled an SSL 9000 desk…well Reason doesn’t get opened much now !

Props will never include that function. In doing so it will do a few things they don’t want:

1) Take them directly into competition with other manufacturers, wheras Reason had always been seen as a glorified VST or standalone product to compliment other manufacturers.
2) It’d ruin their rock solid reliability, by relying on 3rd party developers to implement good coding practise.

I think it makes more sense to merge Record into Reason. One single app with everything they can create in it sounds more like a plan. Record without Reason is a pretty bare proposition. They need to be together.
