akbarParticipanttheres a complete turotial on the net that ill give you guys the link too. if you do have two soundfiles o the same loops and invert one of them it makes absolutely no sound. if you have lyrics on one of the loops it will leave the vocals and cancel out the instrumental . so logically it would work with an instrumental and a copy of the same song i think imma try it with a single and see if it works. heres the link :[url:2bha0tfr]http://4trak.net/dsico/archives/000082.html[/url:2bha0tfr]

wcwcParticipantu have to use them from cd’s, and rip them as wav’s for best results

gambinocrimefamilyParticipantGood method but works better with some songs rather than others

GenesisParticipantHello! I’m a new guy.
I tried to check out the link given at the start of the topic, but it’s dead now… probably because I came here so late…I was wondering, does anyone still have the instructions?

ddoubleParticipantu really have to use cds for the best results.
sometimes they mess about with inverts on the instrumentals so we cant do this trick!!
another one ive found useful is a feature in cool edit.
its found under effects>amplitude>chanel mixer if u use the preset “vocal cut” its removes everything in mono only leaving u the stereo sounds.
this can be great for extracting somebits of vocals and removing beats just leaving chords/melodies (if u are intrested in sampling them)
great little trick.

ddoubleParticipantand if u were feeling flash u could load the instrumental into the left channel and the original into the right and use this to create the accapella

weetoeParticipantman it is so hard to amke an acapell using this method, if the tracks are off by the slightest amount it screws everything up. are there any specific programs you guys use? Im using wavelab and it is not working too well

jerver73Participantto cut things short,
CDs work best, get hold of the cd single, both tracks should be EXACTLY the same, (time) and have to be ripped prefeably by the same computer, sometimes with all this, it just doesnt work, i have had some good resiults and some bad. MP3 ‘s might work but are bound to get you in trouble, commercial karaoke versions dont work. Vinyl might work, it usually doesnt, i had some fair results with neneh cherry buffalo satnce, from teh vinyl…. after this proces u usually have some beats or high noise left, this can be philtered using noise reduction..AdSense 336x280March 8, 2005 at 9:49 pm #569496

SepolasilParticipantI have someting to add. Say you have the inst and the original, both from the same cd. If you invert the inst, save it to use it in a diff program, you MUST open the original and save it too, not inverted. So any changes in quality will be made to both
