Hello,
my real name is Markus and I come from Germany, so don’t be surprised about my english; -)
I’m 50 years old and have been making electronic music for over 30 years now, starting with a Commodore 64 and the tracker, I think it was the first ever, soundmonitor by Chris Huelsbeck. This was followed by a MIDI interface for the C64 and the software "Pro16" from the still young company Steinberg. At the MIDI-interface there was a Roland D-10 and later several other synthesizers like the Korg Wavestation, an Ensoniq sampler, a Walldorf Microwave and some others followed. In the meantime the C64 was changed to an ATARI ST, on which the first version of Cubase was running (I still have the original box with the 3.5" disks and the manual of Cubase).
I experimented with this setup for a long time and some interesting pieces of electronic music (at least for me) were created.
However, I then changed my interests for a few years.
Now a few years ago I got back on board again and was thrilled by the possibilities you have with the modern DAW’s today. I am now using Propellerhead Reason version 9.5 and I am very happy with it.
I came to Acapellas4U because I wanted to get to the field of activity "Remixes" (mainly in House and Trance). Since I am a miserable singer, I am happy that I get much better material here than I could have ever created myself; -).
I play guitar and keyboard, but I am not a virtuoso on both instruments. Besides, I’m not a great music theorist, but of course I know the basics.
So, this should be all to me first of all and now I’m going to browse through your archive.
Have fun!
Markus
