djshadesukParticipantLong story short: Can’t connect directly to the wireless router at my girlfriends house (‘cuz her stepdad is a miserable git) so I used to connect to her laptop via Bluetooth using ICS (both laptops are Samsung NC10’s and have Bluetooth built in). ICS was working but recently I installed a wireless (WiFi) HP printer at her house (her laptop is the only one with access to the printer). Now ICS is not working and no amount of fiddling seems to work. I’ve tried messing about with the IP address and such but no joy. We can ping each others machines (via IP and name) and she can ping any external server. I can’t even ping the router, nevermind anywhere in the outside world.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated as I’m beginning to rip my hair out! Yeah, I know it would be easier if I could just connect directly to the router but unfortunately that isn’t going to happen.
Thanks in advance.

djshadesukParticipantAlso, I’ve just remembered, in the Advanced tab of the Wireless Network Configuration properties (on the host) the drop-down box which presents a list of other adapters that ICS should use occasionally disappears! I know it doesn’t appear if there is no other adapters (or if they’re disabled) but there is (the Bluetooth adapter). Furthermore it can sometimes just present itself as a normal input box (the drop-down element of it vanishes!)
Don’t know if this helps?!
