^^ acapella

^^ original
Its my first try at this. I can’t seem to get the snare and bass out. If I wiggle the track a tiny amount left or right, the bass and claps come through louder.
So turned down the bass through the EQ. It seems the snare is on the same level as her voice though.
Both files were the same length, size, and bit rate: 320.
IDK what do you guys think?AdSense 336x280August 2, 2008 at 11:30 pm #654487

ChunkyEatsMyDinnerParticipantThats still a great effort!
I would say that mix-able as it is, maybe only an issue if you put it over a breakdown.
Im sure someone may be able to suggest something but your still using MP3 which is not ideal.
My suggestion would be to search for the original tracks on CD.[Note to other mods, these are not download links so Im guessing they can stay?]

ThaEmbacyParticipantu can also try to extract the center channel
acapellas r usually mixed into the center channel of the beat, so the vocals should be louder there

AlownParticipantI tried even more stuff today.

thats me trying to extract the center channel from the radio edit. That made the instrument sound louder.
I also tried taking the average of both channel(like making mono?), extracting center channel with different settings, and even tried filters on the master. I tried just about every combination.
Oh well. I guess this must come down to the quality of my audio. Maybe I’ll be able to find some .ogg out on the net. I may just have to buy the CD to get this right.
I’ll let know how I do.AdSense 336x280 -
