i just moved from PC to Mac. in general everything has been great but there were 2 programs that i used all the time which aren’t available for Macs. I don’t want to start installing bootcamp or parallels or whatever, i’d rather find equivalents for:
stomper
audition (or indeed cooledit. i have tried Peak and it doesn’t compare one bit).i can’t live without them! please help!

cameronc650ParticipantI also used to be a PC owner but I ended up ALWAYS fixing some fault or another.
My experience with my mac mini has been glorious on the other hand.

coojuiceParticipantWhat applications do you already have on your mac? If you tell us you might find you already have the tools you need…

beatz51ParticipantIf you get Logic Studio you have all the tools you need for Audio!

bengrimmParticipantSoundtrack Pro is a great audio editor with a ton of features. That said, Audacity is free, has the majority of the same features, runs fairly bulletproof and I’ve been quite happy with it as well. I do like Soundtrack Pro for recording long bits of audio in, simply because the interface is so much like Logic Pro.
Download the Apple Loops Utility, especially if you’re using Garageband. Its also free if you sign up for Apple’s Dev site, which anyone can do.
Wave Editor, Rax, and Loop are all great audio programs, and I like all of them better than Peak, which I found buggy and cranky.

DanielT92ParticipantI love the Mac world tbh, it’s just soo simplified compared to PC’s, which easily get cluttered. Plus the spec of Mac’s are always good.
