gnxmacParticipantYeah macs are a little higher end in terms of price. but the extra money you pay is giving you so much more stabilty in the operating system and hardware. PCS you can get really good systems butthere so many configurations out there with so many different parts. With an Apple computer all the hardware has been tested to work with each other.
I was a hard core pc user, and once i swtiched in 2001 after using a friends mac in the studio i could never go back.
The only thing windows are good for is looking out while Im working on a mac.

PixelsaurParticipantI was a solid PC user for about 3 or 4 years, until I realized all it did was crash, and I almost lost all my school work. So I tried a macbook about two years ago, and I’m typing on it right now, in windows. Mac side works great, windows side works great.

evesonParticipantalways used macs, less time worrying about maintaining them, building them, installing drivers, optimizing them, more time turning them on and making music with minimal fuss and effort.
if you’re into computers, building a powerhouse pc for less money is arguably the way to go, for those that simply use the computer as a tool and aren’t overly interested in what’s going on behind the os, macs are awesome.

pjburnhillParticipantpopnfresh thats the kind of c.r.a.p. that made me move from PC’s to Mac’s… you have to hack everything to make it work. And once you get it working there’s an update you want which means hacking even more. Trust me, you’ll buy a mac if you really want things to work. OS X on a PC, like peanut butter on a piece of bark, why would you do it?

PixelsaurParticipantBoth have their flaws. Macs can’t run anything but are generally easier to get around, PCs can run most things but they’re more unstable… It’s why I use both.

BlatterParticipantMac rules, no way around it to me. Was a PC addict for years but when I bought my first mac now 8 years ago I knew instantly that I would never buy another PC.
Once you go mac…
Cheers,
