lil wayne is the dude simply because of how twisted he is. dude gets all psychedelic on a whole bunch of shit way beyond most things rappers are fucking with right now. for better or for worse.

in a game filled with lazy people, wayne accomplishes a lot (albeit fails quite often) in terms of trying new things..

also, respect the fact that dude released like 250 songs in the last 14 months or so.

Lil Wayne in my opinion is the reason people don’t respect real hip hop anymore.

Listen to ‘I’m With Whatever’ on the Notorious BIG Duets post album and you’ll understand, he frankly doesn’t deserve to be on the album, Lil Wayne displays no lyrical skill and how he ever got anywhere near famous if beyond me.

Hard decision… I think his flow is pretty amazing at times. Personally I think that he’s not constant enough. Like, I hear some some songs like Hands up, and I’m like ‘that’s pretty good’ and then there’s stuff where I’m just like ‘the hell?"
So yeah, I’d say he’s not hot, but also not not hot
