For years I’ve been trying to track down the drums used in all of these Kanye produced beats, they’re an ultra distinctive Snare and Hat, and possibly that same kick too, though he doesn’t always use the same kick every time he uses the Snare and Hat.

AdSense 336x280I feel you, but I’ve been hunting Kanye samples for years, and out of hundreds of finds, not once has he surprised me when it’s come to matchup up drums/other samples. He’s never done anything like you mentioned on any track up to the Dark Twisted Fantasy era, and even then it’s really no change
As far as these drums go though, like I said in the 2nd post, the drums are in an OutKast song too, kick too! So now I’m 100% positive it’s just an old drum break
AdSense 336x280Gotchya, sorry I can’t be of more help. Only time I listen to any of that sort of stuff is when it’s sampled and/or heavily remixed. I’ll say this though; if you can’t find it, make it (or at least something along the same line).
