So I have Logic Pro 8 and i’m trying to use my mic, but its not recognizing that it even exists.
I’m running OS 10.4.11 and using a Logitech USB mic (the one from Rock Band haha)
is there anything i can do to get it to recognize it?

You’re going to have to go to Applications, then Utilities then Audio Setup. Make sure it’s recognized in there before you try Logic.
That’s an issue i usually have….mostly with MIDI devices tho. That’s the first port of call.
I opened up Audio Setup and it’s recognizing it, but logic still isn’t displaying it as an input choice

Right, have you gone to preferences and Audio in Logic?? your input should be registered the same as your Utilities Audio Setup.
Should that fail, close logic. load up utilites and double check, close that and restart your computer (by that i mean total shut-down, wait then reboot).
That usually works out a lot of kinks (usually virtual memory and random HD space being sucked by photoshop and logic and the like, not related but it sometimes helps)
If that doesn’t help, i’ll ask some people about it, or if i can get my hands on my ex’s macbook pro with logic 8 (i’m using 7) i’ll have a gander for more options.
Better still, where the HELL is Plattitude?!
