KallekufiskParticipantWe all know that the american hip-hop scene is the largest and most popular. But I’d really like to find out how the hip-hop sounds in your country! So this is the thread where you can recommend your local talent. Basicly this is a thread for international hip-hop artists/songs (or non-mainstream/upcoming american talent), artists/songs that we usually don’t hear, that we probably would have missed out on!
I’ll begin by describing some of the swedish hip-hop artists that’s been getting plenty of airplay on the radio around here.
First we have right now, one of the hottest new emcees; Adam Tensta, who won the Swedish equivalence of a grammy, a "grammis" for hos debut album, "It’s a tensta thing". His style is heavily influenced by electro house, with uptempo beats and screwed up samples. You’ll find his single "They wanna know" single from the album right here: [url:mwyym718]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHb0phCLiOA[/url:mwyym718]
Another artist similiar in popularity and style is Lazee, whose breakthrough single you’ll find here: [url:mwyym718]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2NTQQPMIf0[/url:mwyym718]
A legend when it comes to swedish hip-hop is "Petter" who is the best selling swedish emcee of all time. His latest single is called "min click" which you’ll find here: [url:mwyym718]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmzaR0wXpw8[/url:mwyym718]. He released his latest album "God damn it!" in 2006 and you can listen to the single from that album right here: [url:mwyym718]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUyNr3hptBY[/url:mwyym718]
Yep that’s basicly that. Generally you can say that swedish hip-hop right now is heavily influenced by house and other club-genres which has revived it’s popularity at clubs around in Sweden.
Now let’s hear the sounds of your country!

elmatticParticipantGood lookin out, Q.
There’s a dope Burmese group called Mynamar Future Generations. Also I like Italy’s DJ Manueli.
In Africa you’ve got Wageble (Senegal), in Kenya the Black Star Kenya Artists, and Zimbabwe Legit. Someone ought to start (or tell me where to find) a blog of African hip-hop.
For Asian hip hop check out:
