Instrumental to Acapella (DIY)

Hey guys, I just used Audacity to do the split and reverse method to getting a instrumental. I used the song "The Bloodhound Gang – Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss" and almost completely removed the vocals from the song and left with the instrumental. So yeah, having trouble getting the acapella after this step. I tried aligning original + instrumental drum beat and reversing the instrumental but not getting any success.. Any solutions?

the "instrumental"’s wavelenghts would change when ur r doing those effects to get rid of the vocals so it would not work

i agree , if the instrumental is not identical to the original song , then the sounds cannot be properly phased.
