I wanna know how much you make, where u live, what kind music you spin.in NY- Hip hop(top 40, classics include) as far as I know,
$100~200 for not popular dj and in small un-known lounge.
my first time was $125
$200~350 for regular dj in so-called "club"
$350~800 for popular dj works with major promotor in big club
$800up for celebrity djs, radio djs and guest djs ike dj AM, Flex, and Kid Capri..I heard west coast and Miami dj gets paid alot more than here..
and house music paid ridiculously high!

djclaxixParticipantI’d like to know too. I recentely moved to Washington D.C. & around here (like everywhere I’ve spinned) most club gigs are ripp offs so I tend to keep those to a min. I’d advise every DJ to try to make a go at it on their own & see their potential worth. Who can promote you beter than yourself? If you’re successful, you’re making just as much as a so called celebrity DJ.
