DJ Bobby VParticipantI play what the crowd want’s to hear,not what I want to hear,that’s what DJ’s get paid for.If you read the sticky young vet you wouldn’t have hijacked my topic and posted your list.Your only supposed to give your opion,good or bad.BTW I like your list but if I played it in any clubs around here,the floor would clear.The bartender’s would love it.Wake up DJ’s and please the crowd.I really hate it when DJ’s think they’re educating the crowd by playing stuff nobody knows.You play what your crowd wants and take requests.If Iwas playing out and the crowd wanted House,then House it is.Techno,we can do that too.Classic Rock,Frat Rock,whatever makes ’em happy.I was beat mixin’ O.P.P. with ABC back in ’91 before it was on the radio and Hip hop was brand new.Back then all we had was 3 1200MK2s and a Rane mixer.There were no sync buttons or beat counters back then.Stefgun, if you looked at the Billboard chart you’d see these songs there under Hip Hop.I don’t classify them,just play them.

DJ Bobby VParticipantIf you want to put a top 10 list up then start a new topic.In the sticky there is a template.As far as your opinion goes,that’s what this is for.I’m not gonna argue what is or isn’t Hip-hop,that’s like the definition of a mash up,it’s different for everyone.I go by how artists are paid and what genre they’re listed under according to Billboard.I respect anybody’s opinion if it is not hateful.
